Windair's Teddy Bear was my very first dog. Thank you so much to Maureen of Windair Toy Poodles for allowing me to bring this magnificent and loving boy into my life. Teddy grew up from an adorable puppy into a stunningly beautiful adult. And a very special thank you to Maureen for becoming such a dear, caring, and supportive friend. Sadly, Teddy, at 9 1/2 years of age was diagnosed with PRA, a genetic condition which causses blindness. Ten years ago, there was no genetic test available to determine if parents were carriers of PRA which is caused by a recessive gene. Today, with the Optigen test available, PRA no longer has to be an issue. Like most reputable breeders, Maureen now tests her dogs for this genetic condition.
