Canon EOS 7D

These photographs were taken in the late afternoon. For several of the images, I used a Canon 100-400 zoom lens (borrowed from a friend who was also with our group). The lower light level made it necessary to use a high ISO to achieve the necessary fast shutter speeds. The Sandhill Cranes were taken with this lens. Unfortunately, the birds were so far away that even with this lens, I had to crop so much so the images are not sharp. The rest of the pictures were taken with the Canon 55-250 zoom lens.

Sandhill Cranes - this is the first time I have ever seen these birds.

Cedar Waxwing

This photograph was taken close to sunset.

No, these images of the geese were not pasted on!
