Danny is my little Energizer™ Bunny. He is so full of energy and so active. Nothing, not even bad knees, can slow him down. Danny is quite a character. He is rather high strung (my other 2 are quite mellow in comparison); has an overbite; was cryptorchid; has pretty bad atopic allergies; his hind paws are pigeon-toed which makes him walk sort of funny; he has very thin, fine hair; he has anal gland issues; and even at 5 years of age I have never been able to completely housebreak him (he still poops in the house). But he is my shadow and he adores me and he keeps us laughing with his antics.

Danny after his knee surgery May 2007.

Danny's femur was lacking an apporpriate groove for the patella. His vet carved a groove into the bone during the surgery. Although his right knee is also not good, thus far, he has not had to have surgery on it.

Danny has very thin hair and absolutely no boddy fat so he gets cold easily. This is his favorite place to stand during the winter months!

Danny finally has hair again. The special diet of homemade beef, brown rice, pumpkin balls and Hills ZD dry ($33 for an 8 pound bag) and special shampoo and conditioner (both super expensive) have really helped to relieve all of the bad itching of his atopic allergies.

Danny Walking around filmed 9-13-09 Danny has a strange-looking gait. He is rather pigeon-toed on his hind legs and swings his hind legs under his body when he walks, almost like he is walking on a tightrope.

Regarding the lawsuit filed by Hildegard Patton against Carol Kay

Carol Kay and Hildegard Patton have agreed to settle the litigation between them involving several posting and emails on Internet sites maintained by each of them concerning two poodle dogs once acquired by Kay from Patton. Carol, for her part, hereby issues a statement apologizing to Ms. Patton, if the medical information posted on her website concerning the health and medical conditions of the dogs has been construed or interpreted by any readers to impugn the integrity of Hildegard Patton, the name “Gold Star Toy Poodles,” Gold Star Poodles, or of her poodle breeding practices and the quality of her poodles in any way. Ms. Kay’s only intentions were to provide information to assist others in obtaining further knowledge and understanding of canine health.

Hildegard hereby issues a similar statement apologizing to Ms. Kay for statements she posted regarding Ms. Kay which suggested Ms. Kay’s actions in posting the medical information may be the result of any health issues relating to Ms. Kay or to any acts of Ms. Kay.

Both Carol and Hildegard affirm their mutual respect for each other, acknowledge their respective accomplishments and express appreciation that this unfortunate misunderstanding has been mutually resolved and put behind them.
